Two Hundred Eight

I finally had the chance to meet actor/writer Kirsten Van Ritzen at her novel reading yesterday (March 10th at 2pm) at McNally Robinson Bookstore (she wrote All My Day Jobs); we didn’t meet after the show, hence my urge to see and hear more of her works from her first novel The Comedy Diva Diaries and a segment of plays from One for the Road which featured the monologue I did. Author Kirsten Van Ritzen is a professional actor who has performed across Canada. Acclaimed for her talent as a comedic performer, Kirsten has been described as “a spitfire,” “showstopping,” “side-splitting,” and “Carol Burnett with sex appeal.” Born and raised in Winnipeg, Kirsten is an alumna of the U of W and hails from the mighty McFeetors clan. The Comedy Diva Diaries is her debut novel. Her first day job was at Salisbury House.
