One Hundred Ninety-Five

Diss High School Tour—October 15-December 14, 2012

After such an incredible run, our high school tour of Diss is coming to a close. Originally written for a Toronto audience, Diss was adapted by its original playwright Rex Deverell to tell the story of youth gang life in Winnipeg. The response to the show has been overwhelmingly positive and supportive! Teachers and administrators have expressed high praise for the show and the important discussion it inspires about peer pressure (whether gang related or not). The cast and crew have travelled to new and familiar places to bring the show to as many students as possible! We want to thank everyone for their kind words and encouragement throughout the tour (and a special thank you to all those that helped get our tour van out of the ditch)!

DISS cast: John Echano, Braiden Houle, Eugene ‘GeNie’ Baffoe, Lacina Dembele, Cherrel Holder and Lorraine James.

Here’s an article I just found December 6th, 2012.
