After seeing “Bloodless” at the MTYP, I have to wonder if Winnipeg is hiding Joseph Aragon for themselves? Even though I watch only a handful of musicals, this one deserves to be performed beyond the fringe. If anything else, this story is only comparable to “Sweeney Todd” for the murderous theme, but that’s it. Check out more of this local playwright’s stuff for his future creations. The cast was sharp and tight in their performances, both acting & singing. I was impressed with the use of props while having a minimalist set. There’s always a large cast with White Rabbit Productions also.
Bravo to Sharon Bajer, directing a musical for the first time: I never would’ve guess.
If I never participate in another musical in this lifetime (“Tales from Far Away” 2003) then maybe I’ll audition for one. Sent on the TELUS Mobility network with BlackBerry
